After dominant showings at the Horizon League Championship this past October, the Horizon League has announced that senior Gina Valgoi and sophomore Sam Penzenstadler have been named Horizon League Cross Country Athletes of the Year. Awarded since 2002, the Horizon League Cross Country Athlete of the Year honor is a first for a Loyola male or female runner.
